The Maruti Suzuki Alto is the highest selling car in India with sales of 35,245 units in March.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift was the second highest selling car with sales of 20,521 units. The high sales of this vehicle can be attributed to the lack of production for a few weeks last year, resulting in a huge backlog of orders.

On third spot is the Swift DZire with 16,451 units, thanks to the arrival of the new model.

WagonR another Maruti Suzuki car sold 14,589 units in March 2012.

The Hyundai Eon’s sales are increasing as awareness about the entry level Hyundai increases. The Eon sold 12,500 units last month

Selling 11,420 units, the Indica and Vista take sixth place

The Nano has finally broken the 10,000 barrier with 10,475 units being sold in March, the highest for the Nano till date.

Hyundai’s i10 has been overtaken by the Nano and sold 10,157 units last month.

Mahindra Bolero
A good performer in semi-urban markets, the Bolero continues to do decent numbers with 10,078 units being sold in March

In tenth position is the Indigo and Manza, selling 8,295 units for Tata Motors.

  1. Hyundai EON is a perfect hatch for Indian customers who give preference to the mileage and price. This is the first hatchback who is launched in India first. And, all set to demolish alto800, swift.
