Tata Nano CX, LX variant to discontinue

Tata Motors has discontinued Nano’s CX, LX variant and added few extra features with replaced base variant to boost its sales in India. According report the exiting base variant of Tata Nano will be soon discontinued for Indian buyers and replace by the new power steering variant.

Tata Nano is currently available in STD, CX, LX, New Nano, Nano Twist XT and Nano CNG eMax XM variants. The Tata Nano LX will be stop to sale from the Indian market, while the CX variant will take place on Twist XE. The other variants will be continued as it is now and the new Nano Twist XE will be positioned below Twist XT. Company has already stopped the production of Nano LX and CX variants.

According to the media the new variant of Nano, Nano XE will get the all features of CX and also added some extra features such as electric power assisted steering (EPAS), larger steering wheel and the new instrument cluster. But it will not get Nano XT features like body coloured bumpers, full wheel caps, power windows, central locking and keyless entry.

Additional Tata Motors is also planning to add Nano Twist AMT F-Tronic by next year which is expected to get sport changes at the rear and front and also openable boot. The expected car model will be available with 3-cylinder petrol engine which can generate 67ps of power.
