Tata-Fiat JV looks to export engines

Tata and Fiat plan to export the engines produced in their Ranjangaon facility. The plant has a capacity of producing 2,00,000 engines and 1,00,000 cars. This capacity is to double up for the production of Palio, Tata Motors’ Indica, new Linea and Punto.

The plant will produce 1.3 and 1.9L diesel multijet engines and 1.2 L and 1.4L petrol engines. Both Tata and Fiat have committed to invest 4000 crores in the JV on a mutual sharing basis.
