Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F launched in India

Suzuki Motorcycle has launched its most awaited Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F in India at Rs. 12.25 lakh and Rs. 12.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The both superbike comes with an advanced and lightweight chassis with a switchable 3-mode traction control system. The bikes have the engine of GSX-R1000, 43mm inverted KYB forks, radial mount monobloc brembo brakes and an easy-to-read instrument cluster display.

Mechanically both bikes are powered by the same engine which is powered by 999 cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke engine that generates 146 PS of power @ 10,000rpm and 106Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm, mated to a 6-speed transmission. Bikes come with twin discs at front side and a single disc at the rear side braking system with ABS as a standard feature on both bikes.

The Suzuki GSX-S1000 measures 2,115 mm in length, 795 mm in width, 1,080 mm in height and 1,460 mm in wheelbase while the Suzuki S1000F measures 1,180 mm in height. The Suzuki GSX-S1000F and GSX-S1000 tip the scale at 214kg and 209kg respectively.

The Suzuki’s both bikes are available in two colours : Candy Daring Red/ Glass Sparkle Black – AV4 and Mettalic Triton Blue.

The bike will compete against its classed naked superbikes like the Honda CB1000R, Yamaha FZ1, BMW S1000R and Kawasaki Ninja 1000.
