Sterling Edition of Freelander 2 launched in India at Rs. 44.41 lakh

Land Rover owned by Tata Motors has launched Freelander 2 Sterling Edition in India at Rs. 44.41 lakh ex-showroom in Mumbai. Company is celebrating its five years of presence in India. This special edition variant is powered by 2.2-litre TD4 diesel engine capable to produce 150 bhp of maximum power @ 4,000rpm and 420 Nm of maximum torque @ 1,750 rpm mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

It also carrying a bunch of design updates over the standard variants including a new Anthracite finish 17-inch five-split spoke alloy wheels, dark atlas grille, dark atlas fender and side vents, tailgate spoiler, front and rear apron, lower door claddings and a single tail pipe with bright finish.

It will come to the Land Rover showrooms in very limited numbers. The company has revealed Discover Sport, globally which will replace the Freelander 2. According to the experts, Sterling Edition of Freelander 2 will be the last sport version of the car to be launched ever in India before it gets replaced by Discovery Sport next year.
