Rolls Royce showcases Phantom Series II in India

Rolls Royce Motor Cars, the British luxury automobile manufacturer and part of German automaker BMW Group unveiled the Phantom Series II car model in India on September 21, 2012. The luxury car model will be available with a price tag of about Rs 4.5 crore.

The Phantom Series II will be offered in four variants, namely the Phantom, the Phantom Extended Wheelbase, the Phantom Coupe and the Phantom Drophead Coupe. The car is equipped with a 6.75 litre V12 hand-assembled engine which offers 453 bhp at 5350 rpm and is capable of accelerating from 0-96 kilometers per hour in 5.7 seconds.

The luxury car model has been introduced with new features such as newly designed LED headlamps, revamped grill made from stainless steel and redesigned front and rear bumpers. The BMW’s iDrive system is also featured in the Phantom Series II.

Rolls Royce is also planning to expand its activities in India and is considering opening new showrooms in South India and in the state of Maharashtra.
