Nissan, Honda and Audi recalling cars to replace faulty airbags

See if your car model in this list because Nissan, Honda and Audi India have recall their models to replace faulty airbags as part of a global recall.

Nissan has announced to recall 9,000 units of its compact car Micra and mid-sized sedan Sunny in India manufactured between 2008 to 2012 that use safety airbags made by its supplier Takata.

Honda Car India has announced the recall of 2,338 units of its Brio, Amaze and CR-V to replace faulty airbags. Company said the recall in India will affect 1,040 units of Brio, 1,235 units of Amaze and 63 units of CR-V manufactured between September 2011 and July 2014.

Audi AG is recalling 8,50,000 units of the A4 sedan worldwide (Globally) which were manufactured in 2012 to October, 2014 over a possible defect with the front airbags. Company said to recall 2,50,000 units from its biggest market China and 1,50,000 units from Germany while giving no regional breakdown for the remaining 4,50,000 cars.

In July 2012 Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) ordered to recall cars due to safety related issues in India and over 7-lakh vehicles have been recalled by the several car manufacturers including Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Toyota, Ford, Honda and General Motors (Chevrolet).

Last month Maruti Suzuki India recalled 69,555 units of Dzire, Swift and Ritz models to repair wiring harness fitment which were manufactured between March 2010 and August 2013. And also company recalled 1,03,311 units of Ertiga, Swift and DZire manufactured between 12th November, 2013 and 4th February 2014 to replace faulty fuel filler neck.

While General Motors India has recalled over 1,10,000 units of its multi-utility vehicle Tavera last year due to emission and specification issues.

In April, 2014 Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) recalled 44,989 units of its multi-utility vehicle Innova manufactured between February 2005 and December 2008.
