New Tata Nano Twist XE variant launched at 2.06 lakhs

Tata Motors has launched a cheapest power steering variant new Tata Nano Twist XE in India at a price tag of Rs. 2.06 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Tata Nano with power steering was launched last year with Twist XT (XT -Xtreme Edition) which was the cheapest car with power steering but now the new XE version which is around Rs. 40,000 cheaper.

Except the power steering as a standard feature, company has removed many features to reduce its costs. Here is the list of features which are not available in new Tata Nano Twist XE variant compared to the Twist XT variant:

The Damson Purple and Dazzle Blue colors are not available with this variant only 3 colors are available as a standard colors Pearl White, Meteor Silver and Royal Gold.

Apart from color option it missed out following features also: Body colour door handles, Chrome strips front and rear, Front fog lamps, Roof spoiler, Roof mounted antenna & music system along with CD, MP3, AUX, USB & Bluetooth, Front and rear speakers, Remote keyless entry, Heater, Front power windows, Central locking and 12-V power socket.

So we can say that the company has deleted these following features in Rs. 40,0000 rupees. Please give your opinion about this vehicle.

Mechanically there is no change in the power train, the new Tata Nano Twist XE variant is available in same 624 cc, 2-Cylinder, MPFI engine that producing 38PS of power and 51 Nm of torque. It claims India’s most fuel efficient petrol car with a mileage of 25.35 kmpl as certified by ARAI.

  • Nano Twist XE – Rs. 2,06,076/-
  • Nano Twist XT – Rs. 2,43,036/-
  • Nano XM CNG – Rs. 2,51,774/-
