Mini SUV Maruti S-Cross launched at Rs. 8.34 lakh

The country largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India has finally launched its much awaited mini SUV Maruti S-Cross at price Rs. 8.34 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The model is available with two diesel engines and seven different variants option – DDiS 200 Sigma, DDiS 200 Delta, DDiS 200 Zeta, DDiS 200 Alpha, DDiS 320 Delta, DDiS 320 Zeta and DDiS 320 Alpha.

This S-Cross model will be the first product by Maruti Suzuki which will be sold through the NEXA Dealerships and it will compete against the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Mahindra Scorpio and Ford EcoSport, etc.

Maruti S-Cross Technical Details:

The first entry level diesel engine is powered by 1.3-litre 200 DDiS motor which deliver 89.7 PS of power at 4000rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750rpm mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. While the second engine is powered by 1.6-litre 320 DDiS technology which generates 119.6 PS of power at 3,750rpm and 320Nm of torque at 1,750rpm, but this engine comes coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The 1.3 litre engine has capacity to deliver 23.65 km of ARAI certified mileage while the larger 1.6 litre motor can delivers a certified fuel efficiency of 22.7 kmpl. It measure 4,300 mm in length, 1,765mm in Width, 1,590mm in height and 2,600mm of wheelbase.
