Mercedes CLS-Class and E-Class Cabriolet launched in India

The Mercedes-Benz India has launched the Mercedes CLS-Class and E-Class Cabriolet in India, the new CLS 250 CDI at priced Rs. 76.50 lakh and E 400 Cabriolet at Rs. 78.50 lakh respectively (all ex-showroom, New Delhi). The facelift CLS-Class has comes into India for the first time in diesel engine with CLS 250 CDI variant.

Mercedes CLS-Class and E-Class Cabriolet technical details:

The four-door coupe CLS-Class 250CDI variant is powered by 2.2-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine that generates 204 hp of power @ 3,800 rpm and 500 Nm of torque between 1,600-1,800 rpm mated to a 7G-TRONIC PLUS (dual-clutch) transmission. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds.

While the Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet is powered by 3.0L 6-cylinder petrol engine that develops 333 hp of power between 5,250-6,000 rpm and 480 Nm of torque between 1,600-4,000 rpm, and mated to a 7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission. This vehicle can go from 0-100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds.

Mercedes CLS-Class and E-Class Cabriolet features detail:

Mercedes CLS-Class is loaded with features such as AIRMATIC suspension, Diamond grille, Multibeam LED headlamp, engine start-stop system, 17-inch and 10-spoke wheels, 8-inch free standing display, seat memory function, 14-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system and PARKTRONIC active parking assist. The company has also launched cloud-based applications called Mercedes-Benz Apps which takes ‘Command Online’ Internet connectivity to next level.

Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet included features like – electric head restraints, 7-inch screen, Mercedes-Benz apps on the COMAND Online control and display, 14-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, parking package with 360-degree camera and Active Parking Assist, Keyless Go and start-stop. The vehicle soft top can be opened and closed fully in 20 seconds at speeds up to 40 km/h.
