The new e2o electric vehicle by Mahindra Reva, the electric vehicle manufacturing arm of the Indian carmaker Mahindra is set to venture into the European auto markets by the end of the year 2014. The carmaker has plans to introduce the automatic electric car e2o in the auto markets of United Kingdom and Norway.
The carmaker has already ventured into international auto market with the launch of the e2o electric car in the Nepalese and Bhutanese auto market. According to Mr. Chetan Maini Founder and CEO Mahindra Reva Electric, the carmaker is looking at other auto markets which offer incentives for electric carmakers.
Mr. Maini stated that the carmaker is also working on integrating additional features in the e2o electric vehicle such as airbags, ABS and power steering. The car marker also plans to add an enhanced battery for the e2o for the European markets.
Commenting about the incentives offered in UK and Norway, Mr. Maini stated that both countries enforce a zero-import duty policy to promote electric vehicles. The carmaker is also looking at the Sri Lankan auto market to introduce the e2o car model.
