Mahindra has launched the Java motorcycle in India at a starting price Rs. 1.55 lakh. The Jawa motorcycles will compete against with Royal Enfield Classic 350. Jawa has been launched in three variants, called Jawa, then second is Jawa 42, and the top variant Jawa Perak. Jawa 42 is the cheapest at Rs. 1.55 lakhs and Jawa is priced at Rs. 1.64 lakhs while the Jawa Perak custom bobber is priced at Rs. 1.89 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
Jawa Motorcycles engine:
Jawa Perak will be 334cc bike while the Java and Java 42 will available with 293 cc engine. There is a single cylinder, 4-strokes fuel injected, liquid cooled engine which offers 27 hp power and 28 Nm of torque also mated to a 6-speed transmission. The company has claimed that this engine is BS VI standard friendly. The bike has 280mm disc brake at front and 153mm drum brake at the rear side. It has 14 liters of fuel tank capacity.
Jawa Motorcycles Features:
The Motorcycles loaded with features such as rounded headlamps, dual tone chrome finish on fuel tanks, twin exhausts and a flat saddle. Chain cover, wire spoked wheels and a round instrument cluster. It has gas charged twin shock absorbers at the rear and telescopic forks at front. Single channel ABS is standard.
Jawa Motorcycles Colour options:
Jawa motorcycles will be available in three colour options – Black, Maroon and Grey, while the Jawa 42 will be available in 6 colour options called Hally’s Teal, Galactic Green, Starlight Blue, Lumos Lime, Nebula Blue, Comet Red. The company has released Java Perock in black color, which is a customized bike according customer.
Jawa Motorcycles Booking Date:
The motorcycles booking will start from 15th of November at priced Rs. 5000/- by visiting the dealership or online at company site https://www.jawamotorcycles.com. All these bikes delivery will start from March of next year (March-2019). All bikes are made at Mahindra plant in Pithampur. The Jawa was popular motorcycle brand in India and globally as well. However, it had to stop operations in India in 1996. Now Jawa has re-entered the Indian market with new avatar partner with Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M).
