Renault KWID, the first Renault-Nissan Alliance platform vehicle launched in India at comfortable price segment starting Rs. 2,56,968/- (ex-showroom Delhi). It is an attractive and modern car with a spacious and comfortable interior that specially designed for the Indian market. The vehicle will be 98% localized, manufacture at the Renault-Nissan alliance plant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and the deliveries of the vehicle will start from next month (October).
The compact KWID is a vehicle with a dynamic profile and SUV look with 3.68 meters long and 1.58 meters wide for zipping about in urban traffic while its high-up driving position provides greater visibility for more relaxed journeys.

The Renault Kwid is powered by a 799 cc 3-cylinder petrol engine that generates 54 PS of power at 5,678rpm and 72Nm of torque at 4,386 rpm, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It has claimed to deliver ARAI certified mileage of 25.17 km/l.
It has 2,422 mm of wheelbase and measures 3,679 mm in length, 1,579 mm in width, 1,478 mm in height. It has also a high ground clearance 180 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 28 liters.

The Renault Kwid will be available in a total of 5 colors: Fiery Red, Ice Cool White, Moonlight Silver, Outback Bronze, Planet Grey. Company claims 19% lower maintenance costs against its competitor and offered a 2 year/50,000 km standard warranty. Also Renault will add an automated manual transmission (AMT) variant and a 1.0-liter engine soon.
