The third generation all-new 2014 BMW X5 has been launched in India with xDrive30d and the most existing thing is that, it will be locally produced at Chennai Plant of BMW. It will be available at all BMW dealership from June 2014 onwards at all India ex-showroom priced Rs. 70, 90,000 for BMW X5 xDrive30d Design Pure Experience.
2014 BMW X5 technical:
The BMW X5 has 3.0-litre TwinPower turbo 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine with state-of-the-art fuel injection technologies for enhanced efficiency that produces 258 hp of power 560 Nm of maximum torque. The vehicle takes just 6.9 seconds to reach from 0 to 100 km/hr and 230 km/h of top speed. It is mated with 8-speed Sport automatic transmission smooth performs and gear shifts.
The intelligent lightweight constructed, all-new BMW X5 has a two-part tailgate to provide easy access to smaller luggage items and capable of supporting up to 250 Kg. The rear seatback can be reclined in a 40:20:40 split and can completely folded down to increase the loading compartment capacity upto 1,870 litres.
