Amid all the wild speculations of Jaguar-Land Rover becoming one with Tata by March 5th or 6th, there is information for further delay over the issue of engines and technology.
“There will be strong relationship between Ford and Jaguar Land Rover post the sale, so it’s important that any agreements are fully understood by all the parties and work to the mutual benefit of all concerned. However, this shouldn’t be seen as a delay or issue or roadblocks in the process,” said an official associated with the Ford-Tata talks.
Officers at Ford also commented that it is unwise and not advised to attach specific dates to deals like this because things like this take their own time to be ironed out of all discrepancies and work for everybody’s good. A Tata Motors’ official also maintained that while a lot of progress had been made, some irregularities still need to be resolved.
