Hyundai plans to introduce its B-segment i20 in India by October and the car will be available in 3 variants, 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 liters. The Managing Director of Hyundai Motor (India) Heung Soo Lheem attributed the company’s success in India to Hyundai and said that Hyundai was encouraged by this kind of response to introduce i10 and now i20 in India.
After the achievement of 24% of the Indian car market share, the company is planning for some more with the introduction of new dealerships and launching of new models. While the dealerships would increase from 230 last year to 300 this year, the production will be hauled up from 3.4 lakh units to 5.3 lakh units.
