Fiat India plans to spruce up vehicle sale to 70,000 by 2010

Fiat India might have made small sales in 2007 and might not be expectant about a big change in 2008 either, but with the launch of models like Bravo, 500, Grand Punto, Linea and the ultra-luxe Alfa Romeo, FIAL sure seems all set to take the market by storm by 2010.

On being asked about the capacity of Ranjangaon facility near Pune, Mr. Rajeev Kapoor, President and CEO of FIAL said, “By the end of next year, we are looking at a capacity of 130,000 units of cars and 200,000 units of engines,” and that they are planning to reach a sales target of 70,000 cars by 2010.
