Car sales report in India June-2016

June 2016 has been topsy turvy for car manufacturers in India, like the country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India has declined by 10 percent and Honda drop by 38 percent while Hyundai registered a 9.7 percent, Mahindra by 7 percent and Toyota managed of 29 percent growth in June 2016 sales unit. Maruti Suzuki India Limited has registered 92,133 units of domestic sales in June 2016, reflecting a decline of 10.2% over the same period sold 1,02,626 units in June 2015.

Hyundai Motor India has reported 39,806 units of domestic sales of in June 2016, which translates into a growth of 9.7% over the same month last year when it sold 36,300 units.

Mahindra & Mahindra (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans) has registered passenger vehicles sale of 17,070 units in June 2016 in the domestic market, a year-on-year growth of 7%, compared 15,880 units sold in June 2015.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor sold a total 13,502 units in the domestic market thereby registering a 29% growth over 10,464 units in the corresponding period June 2015.

Tata Motors passenger vehicles recorded a sale of 12,509 units in June 2016 in the domestic market, a year-on-year growth of 22%, compared 10,281 units sold in June 2015.

Renault India registered domestic sales of 11,837 units, growth of 173% against 4,340 units in the corresponding period last year. This hike figure is just because of Kwid as its largest volume driver, with a major chunk of sales coming from the model every month.

Honda Cars India has reported domestic sales of 11,407 units in June 2016, decline by 38% year on year in June 2015 when sold 18,380 units.

Ford India domestic sales is 9,469 vehicles in 2016, growth of 109% against same month last year when sold 4,527 units.
