Maruti Suzuki’s best selling hatch Alto is 2500 cars short of being 10, 00,000 in number on the road. The car has added other feathers in Maruti Suzuki’s cap too, like becoming the first car in India to cross two-lakh sales in a year and selling one-lakh units in 150 days.
“The model is just about 2500 units short of crossing the one-million mark, which we expect to achieve in the middle of the week,” quoted a company official. The top end version LXi has outsold the other two variants, Lx and Std. emphasizing the fact that customers these days prefer to have their car loaded with features.
