Tata Motors will finally start delivering the first batch of the Tata Nano from Friday, July 17, 2009. Ratan Tata, the company’s Chairman, will personally hand over the keys of the car to its first customer, whose identity is not yet known. Tata Motors had started dispatching the cars to dealers soon after sending allotment letters to the first one lakh customers of the Nano. The deliveries of the first one lakh cars will be completed by the end of 2010. A Tata Motors official said that customers have already informed of the delivery schedule in their allotment letters. Only the first one lakh customers will get the car at its original price of Rs 1 lakh, following which Tata Motors plans to revise prices. Industry analysts expect the Nano to bring great financial relief to the company in the current financial year.
The Tata Nano, India’s big small car has finally arrived after a long wait. This car is already a hit among the common Indian men. Ratan Tata has granted mobility to all the Indians with his Nano dream.
