Honda India witnessed sales growth of 39 percent in October 2013

Honda Cars India, the wholly owned Indian subsidiary of the Japanese carmaker Honda has witnessed a growth of 39 percent in its sales for the month of October 2013. The Japanese automaker sold 11,214 units in the domestic market in the month in comparison to 8,085 units sold in the same month in 2012.

The carmaker has announced an overall growth of 63 percent in the period April – October 2013 selling a total of 70,831 units in comparison to 43,525 units sold in the same period in 2012. The carmaker additionally exported 365 units in the month of October 2013.

Mr. Jnaneswar Sen Sr. Vice President (Marketing & Sales) Honda Cars India commented on the sales performance of the carmaker announcing that the Amaze sedan by Honda Cars India has posted its highest monthly sales of 9,564 units in the month of October 2013. Responding to the demand for the Amaze sedan, the carmaker is initiating a 3rd shift of production at its Greater Noida manufacturing facility. He added that this will enable the company to reduce the waiting period for the delivery of the car.
