Indian automobile manufacturer Tata Motors has upgraded the Tata Sumo Gold multi-utility vehicle for the Indian car market. The new upgraded car model has been launched at a price of Rs 5,93,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Tata Sumo Gold is powered by a 3.0 liter CR4 diesel engine and offers 84bhp of power and 25.4 kilograms of torque. The MUV is claimed to provide mileage of 15.3 kilometers per liter as per the ARAI certification.
The upgrades to the MUV include air conditioning and blowers for the middle row of the car in addition to audio system upgrades with USB and Bluetooth connectivity. The car model has also received alloy upgrades similar to the ones sported by the Tata Safari SUV. The suspension of the MUV has been improved along with the reduction of noise and vibrations. The clutch of the upgraded car is claimed to offer 1,00,000 kilometers of drive.
