Audi India sales grow 76 percent in October 2012

Audi India, the Indian arm of the German luxury automobile manufacturer has posted a growth of 76 percent in sales in the month of October 2012. The carmaker sold 850 cars in the month bring the cumulative sales for the period January – October 2012 to 7,267 units, a growth of 55 percent over its sales in 2011.

The German automaker has also opened shop at Kanpur in the month along with the launch of a new campaign ‘Gift the Q-Life’ in India. The Sportscar Experience has also been started in Chennai by the company. In Mumbai and Delhi, the carmaker has introduced the Audi Women’s Power Drive with the Bollywood actor Gul Panag as the face of the initiative.

Commenting on the sales growth, Mr. Michael Perschke Head Audi India stated that the company expects to surpass the 2012 sales target of 8,000 units before the end of 2012. He added that the customers with aspirations for luxury mobility are fueling the growth.
