Tata Motors has introduced the new Tata Xenon Pick-up in the Indian auto market with an entry level price of Rs. 5,44,000 (ex-showroom Thane). Available in both single cab and dual cab versions, the new pick-up vehicle will cater to customers for various commercial applications. The Xenon is powered by a 3.0 liter Common Rail engine and Turbo Direct-Injection engine optionally which offer a top speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
The company offers a 3 year or a 3,00,000 kilometer (whichever is earlier) warranty for the Xenon and claims its reliability and suitability for hilly terrains. The dual cab version of the pick-up features HVAC, power steering and central locking.
According to Mr. Ravi Pisharody Executive Director-Commercial Vehicles Tata Motors, the pick-up segment in India is growing and with the launch of the Xenon, the company aims to strengthen its pick-up portfolio in the segment.
Other products in the pick-up segment by Tata Motors comprise the Tata RX Pick-up in the large pick-up category and Tata Super Ace in the small pick-up category.
