Renault India plans 1,00,000 annual sales by 2013-14

Renault India under the leadership of Mr. Mark Nassif Managing Director has plans to implement various strategies to boost the sales of the company and increase its market share to 5 percent by 2013-14. The company currently has a market share of 0.24 percent and sold about 4,000 units in the 2011-12 fiscal.

Mr. Nassif states that the company wants to count India among its top markets by 2013. This will include scaling up the organization, expanding dealerships across the country and increasing sales to 1,00,000 units annually by 2013-14. For the fiscal 2012-13, the company has set a target of 30,000 unit sales.

The company has launched four car models since it re-entered the Indian auto market in 2011. Now it plans to launch its fifth car model the Scala sedan an upgraded version of the Sunny sedan by Nissan which is its global alliance partner.
