Tata Motors to launch Mini CAT that runs on air

Indian automobile major Tata Motors is planning to launch the Mini CAT car that is being claimed to run on air instead of gas, electricity or diesel. According to the company, compressed air is used to push the pistons of the car’s engine to move the car. Furthermore, the car is non-polluting and the exhaust of the car expels clean and cool air which can in fact be used for cooling by the internal air conditioning system of the car.

The new car will be priced at Rs. 4,04,300 approximately and will offer a mileage twice of the mileage in the latest electric cars. The car will have a range of 300 kilometers approximately and a top speed of 95 kilometers per hour.

In order to achieve a lightweight car, fiberglass has been for the body instead of metal. In terms of maintenance, the car would require one liter of vegetable oil to facilitate the tubular chassis which must get a change after 48,000 kilometers approximately.
