Audi India reports a 35 per cent increase in its sales for October 2011

Audi India reported a 35 per cent increase in its sales for October 2011, in comparison to the same period a year ago. The company sold 482 units in October this year, while the last year’s sales totaled 357 units for October.

The company sales rose by 85.09 percent for the period January to October from 2535 in 2010 to 4,692 units in the year 2011. The company attributed its success to its unique blend of models and to the new models launched in India. Audi’s chief, Mr. Michael Perschke stated, “This year is shaping into, what we believe will be, Audi‘s most successful year in India to date. We attribute this growth to our continued focus on introducing an energetic product line, qualitative network growth and strong brand pull.”

Although Audi still holds the third spot below BMW and Mercedes-Benz, the company is trying to beat the competition, and as a part to do so, it introduced six new models this year. The company is also planning to increase its dealership network especially in the luxury sedan sector.
