Hyundai launches Santa Fe Automatic

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) which launched Santa Fe in October 2010 has launched the automatic version of the Santa Fe on September 26, 2011. Priced at Rs. 24,36,000, the Santa Fe is available with a six-speed automatic transmission and boasts of additional features such as push button and smart key.

The Santa Fe Automatic is available with a 2.2.L CRDi engine which delivers a maximum power of 197PS@4000 rpm and a torque of 44.5kgm @1800-2500 rpm. The Santa Fe gives a mileage of 11.72 kilometers for a liter.

Awarded five star safety rating by New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), the Santa Fe has various active and passive safety features such as Electronic Stability Program (EPS), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and (EBD) along with six standard airbags.

Commenting on the launch of Santa Fe, Mr. H W Park, MD and CEO (HMIL) stated that the Santa Fe which was launched last year has been well received in India, although the new offering with automatic transmission is expected by the company to further improves its value proposition.
