Mitsubishi has launched the limited edition Mitsubishi Outlander Chrome in India. The new Mitsubishi Outlander which is priced a little above the existing SUV comes with new additional features.
In terms of its exterior, the limited edition SUV gets a roof mounted spoiler, chrome finish ORVMs and body protection mouldings on the side. As for its interiors, the SUV is fitted with a roof-mounted DVD player with display and also comes with a blue illumination under the dashboard. Though these features add value to the SUV, experts feel Mitsubishi should have launched the diesel version of the Outlander to boost its sales. When compared to other SUV’s in the same segment, Mitsubishi Outlander’s sales have not been very promising. Mitsubushi sold 33 units of the Outlander last month, which on an average had been selling 44 units in 2011. In comparison to Outlander’s sales last month, Toyota sold 1060 units of the Fortuner.
Experts feel that more than the cosmetics changes, both Honda CR-V and Mitsubishi Outlander should be introduced with a diesel engine to boost their sagging sales.
