After starting its new innings in India with the launch of its sedan Fluence, Renault is all set to launch ‘world’s cheapest SUV’- Duster in 2012.
This rugged looking compact SUV is expected to be introduced in two variants- petrol (1.6 litre engine) and diesel (1.5 litre engine). As per the reports, Duster will cost Rs. 7 lakh for the 2WD version and Rs. 9 lakh for the 4WD version respectively. Standing tall at 4.3 metres, Duster will compete with Mahindra Xylo and Tata Sumo Grande.
This bargain SUV seems to be designed on the lines of 4×4 American trucks. It has bifocal headlamps, a short hood and hatchback-like tail lamps. The interiors come with a three-spoke steering wheel, Bluetooth and impressive aux.
