Mahindra & Mahindra announced the launch of a new variant of the Scorpio called Scorpio Ex. This entry level and least-expensive variant is priced at Rs.7.2 lakh ex- showroom Pune. The Scorpio Ex boasts of impressive mileage of 14-km per litre and the 2.5 litre engine is equipped with fuel-saving technology. This technology puts the engine in standby mode when needed making the car more environment al friendly.
The Scorpio Ex will be available in four colours – Rocky Beige, Diamond White, Fiery Black and Mist Silver. This new variant is almost Rs 40,000 cheaper than the current cheapest variant. The company’s Senior Vice-President, Vivek Nayer commented on the launch stating that the new offering from Scorpio was no exception to the company endeavour, which aims at offering best in-class products. The main idea behind introducing a cheaper variant of Scorpio is to attract young potential buyers.
