Trouble seems to be brewing at Chevrolet India headquarters. For uncertain reasons known to us the American car maker has discontinued sales of its brand new sedan the Sail. However, it is only the diesel engine variants that are being put on hold. The main reason is not yet known, but the dealers have been ordered to stop selling the diesel Sail variants to customers.
In addition the car maker is also discontinuing sales of the Tavera because its engines are neither BS-III nor BS-IV compliant. That means that 2 of its important models have been discontinued. However we have had word that the discontinued sales of the diesel Sail sedan is only temporary, and this can only mean that the company has had some mechanical problems with the car which is yet to be resolved.
This is the reason that customer couldn’t re-instate theit faith in Chevrolet even after spending long period in Indian Market… not worth buying the products….
