Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced big October discounts on its cars, including the premium sedan Maruti Ciaz. The company is offering a ₹45,000 discount on the remaining units of the Ciaz sedan available in its Nexa portfolio.
This offer is valid on all leftover variants of the car across dealerships in India. However, despite the attractive discount, the Ciaz has failed to attract new buyers in recent months.
⚠️ Ciaz Production Stopped, But Stock Still Left
Maruti Suzuki officially discontinued the Ciaz in April 2025. Some dealers, however, still have unsold stock in their showrooms.
According to reports, no Ciaz units were sold in August and September 2025, which means the sales figure stood at zero for two months. This clearly shows that customers have lost interest in the model, even with heavy discounts.
Earlier, the Ciaz’s starting ex-showroom price was around ₹9.41 lakh.
🌈 Ciaz Features and Specifications
In February 2024, Maruti Suzuki updated the Ciaz sedan with new safety features and dual-tone colour options. The three new colour combinations include:
- Pearl Metallic Opulent Red with a black roof
- Pearl Metallic Grandeur Grey with a black roof
- Dignity Brown with a black roof
The updated Ciaz was launched in both manual and automatic transmission options.
⚙️ Engine and Mileage Details
The Ciaz continues to be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol engine, producing 103 bhp power and 138 Nm torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
According to Maruti Suzuki, the manual version delivers a mileage of 20.65 km/l, while the automatic version offers up to 20.04 km/l, making it one of the most fuel-efficient sedans in its segment.
🛡️ Safety Features
Maruti Suzuki added more than 20 safety features to the Ciaz before discontinuing it. Key features include:
- Hill-Hold Assist
- Electronic Stability Program (ESP) — now standard across all variants
- Dual Airbags
- Rear Parking Sensors
- ISOFIX Child Seat Anchors
- ABS with EBD (Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution)
With these features, the company claimed that the Ciaz offered improved passenger safety and stability compared to older versions.
