The BMW India officially launched the BMW 3-Series GT (Gran Turismo) which is locally manufactured at Chennai plant of BMW. It will be available in a diesel variant called 320d GT at an price Rs. 42,75,000 for all India ex-showroom.

The BMW 3-Series GT has 1,995cc TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder diesel engine with advanced CommonRail Direct Injection and turbocharger technology that delivers 184 hp of power @ 4,000rpm and an impressive 380 Nm of torque at 1,750 – 2,750rpm . The company claim it fuel economy 19.59kmpl and it can acceleration 0 to100 in just 7.9 seconds with a top speed of 226 km/h. It is mated with a Steptronic 8-speed automatic transmission at anytime in any gear, the transmission collaborates perfectly with the engine, enabling it to develop its full power and efficiency.
