The legendary British car maker, Jaguar, has launched the next generation avatar of its XF executive luxury saloon in India with prices starting at Rs. 49.5 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi. The all-new Jaguar XF sedan is built on Jaguar’s latest Lightweight Aluminum Architecture, which makes the car almost 190kgs lighter and 28 percent stiffer than its predecessor. While it doesretain the same basic silhouette as the outgoing model it gets sharper lines and looks a bit sportier. It also gets new LED head lamps with J-Blade daytime running lights and LED tail lamps as well. The wheelbase of the car is also 51mm longer but the front overhang has been reduced by 66mm to allow the car to handle better.
The increased wheelbase also adds more leg room and head room for rear seat occupants. The car also gets a choice of Jaguar’s new In-Control infotainment systems mated to Meridian’s 11 speaker or 17 speaker sound systems depending on the variant. The engine options for the new XF include the company’s new range of 2.0 litre, four cylinder Ingenium petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine in the new Jaguar XF develops a maximum of 237bhp, while the diesel unit churns out 177bhp. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
