2015 Mercedes B-Class and A Class A200 CDI launched

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the all new refreshed version of 2015 Mercedes B-Class in both a petrol and diesel variants – B 180 Sport at priced Rs. 27.95 lakhs and B 200 CDI Sport priced Rs. 28.95 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai) respectively. This launch is the third vehicle launched by the company this year following the CLA-Class in January and C 220 CDI in February 2015.

2015 Mercedes B-Class technical details:

The petrol version of 2015 Mercedes B-Class powered by 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that generate 121bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque. And the diesel version retains the same 2.2-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine now makes 134bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque, while the previous version had only 107 bhp power and 250 Nm of torque. Both front wheels drive engines get a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

2015 Mercedes B-Class features:

The new B-Class comes with the following cosmetic changes:

  • Re-designed front fascia
  • New headlights
  • New grille and bumper
  • LED headlights
  • Re-designed taillights
  • New steering wheel (similar to the CLA Class)
  • Instrument cluster borrowed from the new C Class
  • Larger 7-inch COMAND screen with satellite navigation

2015 Mercedes A-Class:

Apart from the new B-Class Company also introduced a diesel variant of its popular hatchback A-Class – A 200 CDI Sport at priced Rs. 26.95 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai) which is featured with panoramic sunroof as standard, newly designed 16-inch alloy wheel. The petrol version of A 180 Sport is priced at Rs. 25.95 lakh while the A 200 CDI Sport, which has a more powerful engine providing 25 per cent more power and 20 per cent additional torque, is priced at Rs. 26.95 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).

The A180 Sport is carries the existing 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that produce 121 bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque. While the A200 CDI using the same 2.2-liter diesel engine as the A180 CDI, but now produces 134 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque, just like the new 2015 B-Class and new CLA-Class.
