Triumph Street Triple S launched in India at Rs 8.5 lakh

Triumph India has launched its new motorcycle street Triumph Street Triple S in India at priced Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it will assemble bike in India. The bike will be made available in two color options Diable Red and Phantom Black. The company has also announced that they have been already received 35 to 40 bookings for the Triumph Street Triple S. The delivery will be started from next week in Delhi and Mumbai.

Vimal Sumbali, MD of Triumph Motorcycle India said “Triumph India’s annual growth rate is around 60 percent. Describing Street Triple S, he said Street Triple S has been introduced with more than 60 accessories.

The British motorcycle company said that the Street Triple will come with three varinats. One of the three Street Triple S has been launched, while the R and RS models will be available in India before the end of this year.

Triumph Street Triple S technical details and features:

The bike is powered by the all-new 765 cc in-line triple engine and motor gets 80 new components including an increased bore and stroke. It gets the power output at 111 bhp and 73 Nm of torque. It uses a Showa suspension at the front and rear. While the upcoming variants of bike the R will be 116 bhp and the top Aid RS will be 121 bhp. The 2017 Street Triple S gets an evolved design language and also new Street is the lightest bike in its class with a dry weight of 166 kg.

On the other hand superb braking performance which is handled by Nissin with a two-piston sliding calipers at the front and a Brembo-sourced single-pot caliper with a 220 mm disc at the rear side. It is also carrying the traction control system, while dual-channel ABS is offered as standard features and cannot be switched off.

Triumph India has kept the price of Street Triple S. Competitive. This bike collided in Kawasaki Z900 in India. Apart from this, this bike will also compete with motorcycles such as Ducati Monster 821, Aprilia Shiver 900.
